A family of 76 species native to South Western Australia which was named after Sir Joseph Banks who first collected these plants in 1770.
Grades
Cylindrical, brush like flower heads can range from 5 to 30 cm long and 6 to12 cm wide.
Flowers are typically orange or yellow in hue.
Most commercial banksias on the market have a minimum stem length of 40 to 50 cm and some varieties are as tall as 70cm.
